Eddy, Sandra Jean (19 February - 1977)

Miss Sandra Jean Eddy became the bride of William Alan Henseler, jr., in ceremonies performed Saturday, February 19, at 2 p.m. at the Neillsville United Church of Christ by the Rev. Gary Clark. The Neillsville American Legion Hall was the setting for a reception and dance.

Parents of the couple are Kenneth Eddy, Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. William Hensler, Sr., Granton.

For her wedding, the bride chose an empire style gown of sheer organza trimmed with Irish and Venise lace and featuring a high neckline, long sleeves and floor length skirt ending in a chapel train. Her lace-edged fingertip veil fell from a Venise lace headpiece. She carried a nosegay of yellow and red roses with baby’s breath as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Susan Eddy, Neillsville, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jean Carpenter, Hibbing, Mn., Miss Kathleen Henseler, Granton, and Miss Susie Henseler, Marshfield. Their empire style gowns of velvet with Venise lace trim were fashioned in shades of blue, rust, green and burgundy, respectively, and were complimented by matching picture hats. The attendants held nosegays of yellow and white starburst pompons with starflowers in colors to match their gowns.

Serving as bestman was Thomas Henseler, Granton, Rick Beilke and Jeff Crandall of Granton and Brian Eddy, Neillsville acted as groomsmen. Guests were seated by Duane Eddy, Neillsville and Lubo Hanuszczak, Granton.

Marie Vornholt sang “O Perfect Love” and “Wedding Song.” Mrs. Buelah Zoutendam was the organist.

The bride was honored at a pre-nuptial shower given by Susan Eddy and Debra Holman.

A 1975 graduate of Neillsville High School, the new Mrs. Henseler is employed as a bookkeeper for a farm co-op in Neillsville. Her husband graduated from Granton High School in 1969 and is employed by a Marshfield manufacturing firm.

The newlyweds will live on Rt. 2 Granton. They plan a wedding trip at a later date.
