Van Kirk, Kelly Marie (18 June 1977)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, June 18, at the Humbird United Church of Christ by Kelly Marie Van Kirk and Randy John Janke. The Rev. Elvin Ebert officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the church and an evening dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Warren Van Kirk, Rt.1 Humbird, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Janke, Alma Center.

The bride appeared in a classic white empire style gown fashioned with a high neckline and accents of lace on the bodice and sequin-embellished train. Her elbow length veil was also accented with lace. She carried a bouquet of peach and yellow roses with lace and ribbon as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Peasant style gowns in shades of peach and cream were worn by the bridal attendants, Miss Jodie Van Kirk of Humbird as maid of honor and Miss Susie Laverty of Alma Center, Miss Patricia Barney of Humbird and Miss Linda Jahn of Alma Center as bridesmaids. Their bouquets of peach and yellow roses highlighted with lace and baby’s breath and ribbon in their hair.

The groom was attended by Patrick Janke, Alma Center, as bestman and by Bob Hahn of Alma Center, Boyd Trachsel of Humbird and Jeff Boucher of Alma Center as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Virgil Newell, Humbird, and Jerry Blazek, Merrillan.

Mrs Glen Stuve was the organist. Mrs. Keith Johnson and Dale Hause sang.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Eau Claire. In fall, they will make their home in Winona, Mn., where the groom will attend Winona State College.
