Dankemyer, Ruby (6 August 1892 – 1 July 1977)

Mrs. William (Ruby) Dankemyer, 84, Rt. 1 Granton, died at 10 p.m. Friday, July 1, in Neillsville. Mrs. Dankemyer was the Lynn correspondent for The Clark County Press for many years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, with Rev. Horst Augustin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dankemyer, the former Ruby Martin, was born August 6, 1892, in the Town of Lynn and received her education in schools there. Her marriage to William Dankemyer took place October 17, 1917, at the Lutheran Church at Granton. She lived her entire live on the farm where she was born.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nona) Howard of Marshfield and Mrs. Dean (Ione) Jevens of Portage, one sister, Mrs. Arno Ross of Eau Claire; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Albert Haas, William Dankemyer, Jr., Kenneth Dankemyer, Henry Dahlke, Otto Sternitzky and Lloyd Ure. The Church choir sang, and Mrs. Roger Helm was the organist.
