Shirley E. Slayton and Douglas J. Schroeder were married April 19 at the Neillsville home of the bride. Robert I. Archibald of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), Marshfield, officiated.

Mrs. Mabel Harris, Portland, Oregon is mother of the bride and her husband's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Schroeder, Alma Center.

Music was offered by Carrol Wiseman and Marie Sharon.

Attending the bride were Connie McQuire, maid of honor, and Michelle, Leslie and Jessica Bean, all of Neillsville. Craig Schroeder, Alma Center, was best man. Ushering were James, Jason and David McQuire, Neillsville.

The bride had a full-length gown and a silk bouquet of byrgundy and pink roses and carnations. Her attendants had pink formals and bouquets similar to hers.

The reception was at the bride's home. The newlyweds will make their rural home in Neillsville area.
