Oestreich, Debra Lee (9 July 1977)

Marriage vows were exchanged at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Sherwood by Debra Lee Oestreich and Roger A. Huth. The Rev. Horst Augustin of Granton officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony joining the daughter of Mrs. Marlene Oestreich, Rt. 3, Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Huth, Jr., Rt. 2 Granton.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a white empire-style gown accented with Chantilly lace on the sheer bodice and sleeves and lemon yellow ribbon trim at the neckline and cuffs. Her cathedral length veil was held by a Camelot headpiece. She carried a triangular bouquet of lemon yellow roses, white carnations and baby’s breath as she was escorted by Donald White of Mishawaka, In.

Crescent bouquets of lemon yellow roses, white carnations and baby’s breath were held by the maid of honor, Rhonda Oestreich, sister of the bride, and by the bridesmaids, Diane Huth, sister of the groom, and Sandy Oestreich, sister of the bride. Their lemon yellow gowns of polyester knit with white lace accents were complimented by rosebud headpieces.

Attending the groom were Michael Hoover as bestman and Duane Huth, brother of the groom, and Marty Oestreich, brother of the bride, as groomsmen. Bernard Huth, Granton, uncle of the groom, and Scott Oestreich, Loyal, cousin of the bride, as ushers.

Cathy Schleifer was the organist, and the bridesmaids sang.

The home of the groom’s parents was the setting late for a reception and dinner.

The bride was honored at two pre-nuptial showers, one given by her bridesmaids and the other, by Mrs. Rhoena Marg, Mrs. Lorraine Hoover and Mrs. Joan Buddinger.

The new Mrs. Huth graduated from Neillsville High School in 1976 and from District One Technical Institute, Eau Claire, in 1977. Her husband, a 1977 graduate of Neillsville High School is employed locally.
