On June 12, 1976, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa was the scene for the 4 p.m. marriage of Janet M. Dixon, daughter of Mrs. Paula Dixon and the late Robert Dixon of Oak Creek, to William L. Rowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Rowe, Owen.

The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Gene Dixon of Brookfield.

A traditional long sleeved gown of ivory knit with a low ruffled neckline, wide waist band accented with white flowers, full skirt with chapel length train was selected by the bride, with an ivory picture hat with veiling. She carried a bouquet of two white orchids encircled with white carnations.

The bride was attended by her sister Margo, as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Georgiann Dixon, sister, Jill Dixon, cousin, and Kathy Steckler, Franklin, Wis., a friend. Junior bridesmaids were Lisa and Susan Schwabe, nieces of the bride. They were attired in floor length marigold knit dresses, gathered at the bodice with flower accent and ruffled V neck with cape. They wore white hats with marigold ribbons and carried bouquets of marigold carnations.

The groom wore an ivory tuxedo with tails, and was attended by Mark Anderson, Butler, as best man, Edward and Larry Rowe, and Steve Bertrand, Cedarburg, as groomsmen, were all attire din ivory tuxedos. Osin Dixon, brother of the bride, and Jon Bjornson of Indianapolis, Indiana, were the ushers.

The bride’s mother was attired in a yellow floor length dress, while the groom’s mother wore a coral floor length dress.

Following the ceremony a dinner and reception were held at Hoffman’s Glass Rainbow in Milwaukee. Guests attending outside the Milwaukee area were from Owen, Racine, Shawano, Menomonie, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Wis., Elmhurst and Arlington Park, Ill., Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Kansas City, Kansas, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Phoenix, Arizona.

The bride is a graduate of Oak Creek High School and University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She is employed as Dining Room Coordinator.

Mr. Rowe, a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and the University of Wisconsin, Stout, is employed as Manager of Village Inn Pancake House and Restaurant. The couple is now at home at 12811 W. Hampton Ave., after a honeymoon trip through the Ozarks in Missouri.
