Schoen, Dawn Marie (13 August 1977)

Miss Dawn Marie Schoen became the bride of Jimmie Allen Morrison in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed Saturday, August 13, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. A reception at St. John’s Lutheran School preceded a dance at the Neillsville American Legion Hall. The bride presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of the Walter C. Schoens, Rt. 1 Neillsville. The groom is the son of Lester Morrison.

A white daisy bouquet complimented the bride’s white A-line gown framed by a lacy white veil.

Her honor attendant, Emilie Fleischmann of Granton, and bridesmaids, Miss Martha Mann of Neillsville and Miss Bonnie Schmidt of Loyal, appeared in floor length gowns of rainbow hues of yellow, blue and green organdy over satin, accented by short capes and wide ribbons. Ann Voelker was the flower girl, and Wayne Fleischmann, the ring bearer.

Attending the groom were Ron Voelker as bestman and Earl Schoen and Rodney Schoen as groomsmen. Dennis Fleischmann and Ben Mootz served as ushers.

A 1977 graduate of Neillsville High School the new Mrs. Morrison completed a nurse’s aide course in May and is employed at Memorial Home in Neillsville. Her husband, a 1970 graduate of Loyal High School, is employed at the Lynn Dairy. A home on Rt. 2 Granton, awaited the couple’s return from a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin.
