Zarnstorff, Aileen J. (20 August 1977)

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, was the setting for the August 20, exchange of marriage vows between Aileen J. Zarnstorff and Joe W. Tauchen. The Rev. Douglas Groenwold officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zarnstorff of Owen and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Tauchen of Curtiss. A reception was held at the Unity Hall in Unity.

The bride appeared in an ivory empire-style gown of lace and voile fashioned with lace sleeves and a tie belt. She carried a bouquet of roses and baby’s breath as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Renae Halbesleben, Birnamwood, was the bride’s honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Nancy White of Eau Claire, Janet Miller of Owen and Mary Tauchen of Curtiss. They wore pastel rainbow-hued voile sundresses with matching pastel hats. Their bouquets were of daisies.

Serving as bestman was Henry Tauchen, Eau Claire. Acting as groomsmen were Bob Tauchen of Curtiss, Mark Gilberts of Milwaukee and Dave Jahr of Eau Claire. Ushers were Dean Smith and Lawrence Matson.

Mr. Douglas Groenwold was the organist and Robert Olson the soloist.

The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower given by Janet Miller.

The new Mrs. Tauchen is an August 1977, graduate of the UW-Eau Claire in communicative disorders. Her husband graduated from the UW-Madison in May of this year with a degree in landscape architecture. Both are employed in Ladysmith where they will make their home.
