Marsh, Raymond (10 Jul 1883 – Mar 1972)
Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Marsh, 88, of Wausau and formerly of Colby,
will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Colby on Friday at 2 p.m.
Visitation will start at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. B. Scott
will officiate and burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The Lulloff
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marsh was born July 10, 1883 in Marathon County, south of Colby. He was one
of 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Merit Marsh. He was married to Adella
Davison June 17, 1903.
Mr. Marshf worked in the Bride and Building Division of the Soo Line Railroad
for 43 years before retiring in 1953.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Colby, the Brotherhood
of Railway and Train Employees, the Wausau Senior Citizens, and the Wausau
Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Reuben Johnson, Wausau; two grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died in 1963, and a son, Norman.
