Zimbauer, Carol (11 Mar 1972)

Miss Carol Zimbauer, daughter of Mrs. Fred Zimbauer, Wausau, and Joseph Werner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Werner, Dorchester, were married Saturday, March 11, 1972 at Holy Name Catholic Church at Wausau. The Rev. John Schultz officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Mrs. Roger Zillman played the organ and Miss Sharon Rogan was the soloist. Bridal attendants were: Debbie Zimbauer, sister of the bride; Julie Zimbauer and Shelly Schneider, nieces of the bride; Renee Beste and Karolyn Bandara, all of Wausau; Kathy Edens, Hatley and Mrs. Roseann Zimbauer, sister-in-law, Santa Clara, California.

The bridegroom was attended by Lester Laub, Wausau; Phil Werner, Schofield, his brother; David Zimbauer, Santa Clara, California; Raymond Seidel, Wausau and Dave Edens, Hatley. Rudolph Zimbauer, Wausau, ushered the guests.

The bride was attired in a white crepe A-line gown accented with brocaded flowers on the bodice, skirt and detachable train. Her veil was waist length. She carried an arrangement of white and purple roses and carnations.

The attendants wore purple crepe dresses designed with gathered skirts and trimmed with braid. They carried purple and white roses.

The reception, dinner and dance were held at the Rib River Ballroom.

The bride is a graduate of Wausau East High School and is employed at D-Mart in Wausau. Werner is a 1963 graduate of of the former Dor-Abby High School, and a 1966 graduate of North Central Technical Institute, Wausau. He is a mechanic for Valley Leasing, Schofield.

The couple resides at 3405 Bernard Street in Schofield.
