Hansen, Joseph (Exec. VP - 1978)

The president of Nelson Muffler, Glenn LaZotte, recently announced that Joseph Hansen, Stoughton, had been elected executive vice-president of Nelson Muffler.

Nelson Muffler is a division of Nelson Industries, Inc. Other operating divisions include Nelson Filter and Universal Silencer with muffler, filter and development units in Neillsville and divisional and corporate offices in Stoughton. Also located in Stoughton is the company’s technical center which is used for research. Product development and testing related to noise control and filtration products.

Vic Schwartz is the plant manager of the Neillsville plant. Other Nelson Muffler plans are in Viroqua, Mineral Point and Black River Falls.

Hansen came to work for Nelson Muffler in 1957. Since early December of 1972, he has been vice-president in charge of engineering. Besides his new position’s responsibilities, he will continue having corporate wide facilities for organizing and supervising building construction projects.
