Dorchester News

Dwight Winchell and son, Jr., left Saturday morning for their home at Valparaiso, Indiana, after spending a week with relatives here. They were accompanied as far as Milwaukee by Mrs. A. D. Hunt, who will visit there a week.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Long were Medford visitors Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hugoboom, son Wayne, and daughter June, spent the week-end at the I.E. Ade home at Berlin visiting the two former's daughter, Ardath.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Genrich and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kroening, Milwaukee spent the week-end with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Genrich, en route to a lake in the northern part of the state, where they will spend a week's vacation.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gust spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Moritz Hoffman, Medford.

Miss Marie Schultz is employed in Owen.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyer, Owen Walters, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldamer, daughter Rosemarie, and Harry and John Ockerlander attended a special meeting of the county Farmers Holiday association at Loyal Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Gust Tessmer, son Donald, Carl Tessmer, Norman Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meyer and family spent Sunday at the Black River at Redville.

Miss Audrey Meyer is visiting at the Albert Meyer Home at Marshfield.

Carl Ray, Geneva and Genevieve Hamrich returned home Sunday from Minneapolis where they spent a few days with their brother, Paul.

Ted Garbish and Lloyd Sorenson visited at Stratford Saturday.

Mrs. H. Verhulst, daughter Helen, and son, Vilas, drove to Stevens Point Sunday to get Lawrence Glenzer, who will visit them.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pickett on Sunday July 16.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garbish spent Sunday with relatives at Chili.

Byron Saxe will return home Wednesday after spending 10 days in Chicago attending a Century of Progress.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beisner and Eric Beisner spent Sunday at Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Harry, Elkhorn, have returned to their home after visiting a few days with the latter's father, Bernard Smital.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fisher and daughter, Gertrude, were Sunday dinner guests at the Leslie Saxe home at Holway.

Anselm Schmid is receiving treatment at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, for an infection in his eye, caused by a timothy seed.
