NHS-Senior Class (High Honors - 1978)
Honor graduates at Neillsville High School this spring will be Cheri Diers,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Diers of Rt. 2 Neillsville, valedictorian, and
Carolyn Crothers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Crothers of Rt. 3
Neillsville.
Other seniors graduating with honors, being in the top 10 percent of their
class, are Terry Berger, Jon Counsell, Marla Drescher, Mark Meyer, Jan Moennig,
Robert Ollech, Carolyn Pischer, Robert Ratsch, Rex Roehl, Tammy Schultz and
Robert VandeBerg.
Miss Diers has been active in the National Honor Society, FBLA, forensics,
music, and Pep band. She was a twirler, a drum majorette, on the staff of
Warrior Hi-Lites and the Warrior Post newspaper and yearbook; took part in the
class play; represented her class at Badger Girls’ State; won the Badger State
Telephone essay award; was selected for the Elks banquet Award in music and took
part in the congressman’s cup journalism competition.
Miss Crothers was active in Future Farmers of America and Wisconsin Junior
Dairymen’s association, the National Honor Society, on the school newspaper and
yearbook staffs, took part in girls’ track, was a member of the Pep club, was
selected for the state FFA chorus and band pianist, was selected for Badger
Girls’ State and “Who’s Who Among American High School Students,” and won the
Madison Business school typing award.
