Weideman, Janice Ann (22 Apr 1972)

Miss Janice Ann Weideman and James D. Mullarkey were united in marriage April 22, 1972 at 2 p.m. in the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church at New London. The Rev. John T. Mullarkey, brother of the groom, celebrated the wedding Mass.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Weideman, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. John C. Mullarkey of New London.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed and sewn by herself, of candlelight satin. Accented with scalloped antique and orchid floral trim the town featured a detachable train. The corresponding headpiece was also made by the bride. Her bouquet was of pink roses and orchid Fugi mums.

Miss Marie Lauer, friend of the bride, of New London was the maid of honor. She wore a yellow floor length gown with matching yellow floral trim and carried a bouquet of white carnations and yellow Fugi mums.

Joseph W. Mullarkey of Pewaukee served his brother as best man. Ushers were William Mullarkey, the groom’s cousin, and Phil Wilson.

The nuptial music was provided by Miss Lori Bender, New London, who was accompanied by Mark and Paul Brunner on the guitars. Selections rendered were “The Wedding March” and “A Time for Us.”

Following the ceremony the couple greeted their guests at the New London Country Club.

The bride attended the UW-Stout and is employed by the New London Public School system.

The bridegroom attended the Catholic University of America at Washington, D.C., and is engaged with the Mullarkey Auto Service at new London.

The couple is at home at 1705 Dexter St., New London.
