Christ the King Church in Spencer was the setting for the marriage of Miss Mary Jo Will, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neland Will, Colby, to Theodore Arnold Smith, Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Pankow, La Crescent, Minnesota.

The bride was given in marriage by her father at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Bofencamp on May 27, 1972, which was also the 82nd birthday of Grandfather Will.

For her wedding the bride chose a white empire style gown of satin with a full train and full length white veil. She carried a bouquet of hot pink roses and white carnations.

Matron of honor was Mrs. James Geiger, Dorchester, and serving as bridesmaid were Mrs. Donna Smith, Marshfield, Miss Dawn Will, Colby, Miss Diane Kaffarnus, Curtiss, and Miss Anna Smith, La Crescent. They carried baskets of carnations and baby’s breath. Miss Lingl, East troy, Wis., and Leslie Smith of Nekoosa were flower girl and ring bearer respectively.

Serving as best man was James Geiger of Dorchester, and groomsmen were James Dahlke, Edgar, Robert Ludwig, Wausau, Robert Will, Colby, and Wm. Decker, Dorchester. Ushers were David Grieser and Harold Hasmond, both of Spencer.

A 4 p.m. dinner, reception and dance were held at the Spencer Village Hall.

The bride attended Colby High School and is employed by Land O’ Lakes, Spencer. The bridegroom is a 1971 graduate of Colby High School and is employed by Dickman Homes, Inc. of Spencer.
