LaShay, Barbara Ann (3 Jun 1972)

Red Roses and lilies of the valley with satin streamers forming a Colonial bouquet were carried by Miss Barbara Ann LaShay of Dorchester for her marriage to Calvin Henry Sheen, also of Dorchester. Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony performed in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at Dorchester on June 3, 1972.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. David LaShay Sr., 303 N. Second Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Galen Steen of Route 1, Dorchester.

For her marriage the bride wore a white lace gown with an empire waistline and skirt of white silk organza over taffeta. The puffed sleeves featured wide lace cuffs. The veil was attached to the headpiece and fell into a long train.

Matron of honor was Marge LaShay of Wausau, and bridesmaids were Debbie Gilles, Medford and Sharyl Steen of Dorchester. Flower girl was Holly LaShay of Menasha.

The bridal attendants wore identical dresses of baby blue silk organza over taffeta. The gowns were floor length, flocked with blue and green flowers. The flower girl wore a white silk organza and taffeta dress and carried flowers identical to the bride.

Serving the groom as best man was Darrell Steen. Groomsmen were David LaShay and Tom LaShay. David Zimmerlee was the ring bearer.

A reception and supper for 200 guests at Memorial Hall followed the ceremony.

The bride is a 1971 graduate of Medford High School and is employed by the Tombstone Pizza Corp.

The bridegroom is a 1969 graduate of Abbotsford High School and a 1971 graduate of North Central Tech, and is presently employed as a truck driver.

After a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin, the couple will be at home at 129 Perkins, Medford.
