Montgomery, Sandra (15 July 1978)

The Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, officiated at the wedding mass, Saturday, July 15, for Sandra Montgomery and Luis De La Cruz. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Montgomery, 315 Hewett St., Neillsville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jose De La Cruz, Mexico. The father and mother of the bride presented her to the altar at the beginning of the 1:30 rites.

Vocal music was offered by marcella, Rich, Joe, Danny, Jeff, John and Judy Weis and Suzy Wolf, all of Neillsville, and accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short on the organ.

The bride chose a white gown of organza over taffeta, trimmed in Venice appliques lace with a chapel train and matching head piece with finer-tip veil. She carried pink and white roses with yellow daisies.

Serving as maid of honor was Cynthia Montgomery, a sister of the bride. She was joined by other sisters of the bride, Mrs. Mike Kissling and Karen Montgomery, all from Neillsville. They were attired in long gowns of multi-print flocked voile over taffeta and carried multi-colored bouquets of wild roses and daisies.

Bestman for the wedding was Jose’ De La Cruz, brother of the groom from Delavan, who was joined by brothers of the bride, Chuck and Jay Montgomery, all of Neillsville. Serving as ushers were Joe Trunkel and Gary Golomski while Diana Mastalski was the flower girl and Brian mace was the ring bearer. All are from Neillsville.

Following the wedding, a reception and dinner were held at the Wildcat Inn, Neillsville.

The bride is a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High School and a nursing assistant program at District One Technical Institute, Eau Claire. Prior to her marriage she was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The groom attended schools in Mexico and graduated in 1977 from the College of Business Administration in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. He is presently a student at the Spanish Center in Delavan. The couple will reside in Delavan.
