Staff Sergeant Roger R. Awe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royal A. Awe, 111 S. Second Street, Colby, has completed four years’ service in U.S. Air Force and has returned to civilian life.

While in the Air Force, Sergeant Awe was trained as a computer programming specialist and last served in that capacity at Hickam AFB, Hawaii with the Pacific Air Forces.

Sergeant Awe plans to continue his schooling at the University of Wisconsin. He feels that his Air Force Training will help him in his civilian career.

The sergeant, a 1966 graduate of Colby High School, received an associate’s degree in data process in 1968 from North Central Technical Institute, Wausau.
