U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant John C. Bitter, son of Mrs. Adeline M.
Anderson, Abbotsford, has graduated with honors from the Tactical Air Command’s
(TAC) Senior Non-commissioned Officer Academy at Langley AFB.
Sergeant Bitter, who received advanced military leadership and management
training, is a work control superintendent at Forbes AFB, Kansas. He is assigned
to a unit of TAC which provides combat units for air support of the U.S. Ground
Forces.
A World War II veteran, the sergeant has also served a tour of duty in Vietnam.
He is a 1945 graduate of Abbotsford High School. His wife, Irene, is the
daughter of Mrs. Francis A. Holliday, Savannah, Georgia.
