Pickhard, Lois Jean (9 June 1979)

Lois Jean Pickhard of Richfield and Roger Mark Garbisch of Granton were united in marriage during mid-afternoon ceremonies, June 9, at Faith United Church of Christ in Slinger. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pickhard of Richfield and Mrs. Viola Garbisch, Rt. 1 Granton, and the late Alfred Garbisch.

With the Rev. John Heinbuck officiating, the ceremony was highlighted by Katie and John Bart offering musical selections.

The bride, who was presented at the altar by her parents, chose a gown featuring Venician lace on a chiffon, Juliet headpiece and train. She carried a colonial bouquet of roses, daisies and baby’s breath.

Carol Pickhard was maid of honor. She was joined by Clarice Pickhard, Janice Garbisch and Vicky Schiller. They were attired in lustra knit gowns in a rainbow of colors and each carried a colonial bouquet of carnations, daisies and baby’s breath.

Robert Garbisch was the bestman. He was joined by Stephen Walte4rs, Alan Pickhard and Francis Walters. Ushering were Rick Beilke and Russ Pickhard.

A late afternoon dinner followed the service, which was later followed by a wedding dance in Richfield’s Firemen’s Hall. The couple is making their home on Rt. 1 Granton. He is a farmer.
