Brandt, Alice Helen Amanda (8 April 1939 – 30 July 2021)

Alice Helen Amanda Brandt (nee Wiechman) passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on July 30, 2021, at Wells Nature View, Marshfield. She was born April 8, 1939, in Jackson. She was married to George D. Brandt on September 24, 1960. They moved from Jackson to Colby, WI in 1973. They later divorced. Alice had various jobs throughout her life including raising their six children, cleaning homes, owning a craft and bridal shop and prior to retirement working at Zion Lutheran Church Daycare.

Often those she met she referred to as "Honey." Her pride and joys were her grandchildren. She loved to bake, celebrate holidays with themed attire and food items. A family favorite was playing cards, but she enjoyed games of all sorts. Even to her last days, she was up for a hand of cards.

She is lovingly survived by her 5 daughters: Laurel (Tom) Gregoire of Ashland, Lynn (Dan) Brodziski of Spencer, Dorene (Randy) Matter of Spencer, Kim (Doug) Empey of Colby and Kelly Lawrence of Marshfield; sister Gladys Trapp of Marshfield; along with 13 grandchildren; Rachel Kunze, Eric (Jaylene) Kunze, Craig (Krystena) Kunze, Kristen (Lucas) Hesgard, Brittany Brodziski, Beth (Jake) Day, Bryan Brodziski, Travis (Kristen) Matter, Tara (Sam) Nigon, Tyler Empey, Jessica Empey, Alyssa (Lee) Friedl and Paige Lawrence; 10 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by son Lee Brandt, her parents, Ray and Evelyn Wiechman; brother, Allan Wiechman and sister, Winifred Schilling.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Wells Nature View and Heartland Hospice for their care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Colby Lions Shelter, Colby, WI, October 2, 2021, from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
