Juntunen, Everett J. (21 April 1910 – 29 March 1979) With Flag

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Everett J. Juntunen, 68, who passed away on March 29, in the Neillsville Memorial Home. He was born on April 21, 1910, in Sparta, Mn., to Charles and Amanda (Ceppanen) Juntunen. He moved with his parents to the Owen area, where he received his education. He farmed in that area until 1942 when he ente4red the U.S. Army. After his discharge, he worked in Chicago until 1956.

It was in 1956 when Juntunen moved back to Clark County and resided in the Town of Washburn. That year he also married Mae Honzik in Berwyn, Il., ceremonies. The couple farmed until he worked for the Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Marshfield, retiring in 1975. He then was a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King but moved back to Neillsville in October 1978.

Surviving besides his wife, is one sister, Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Hanson of Neillsville, and one brother, John Juntunen of Owen. Preceding him in death were two brothers.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post No. 73 and the Neillsville VFW post. With the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, Juntunen was buried in the Town of Levis Cemetery.

Funeral services at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville were held April 2 for Everett J. Juntunen, 68, who passed away five days earlier.

With the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, music was furnished by Deon Spangler. Serving as pallbearers were Allen Crockett, Robert Sebesta, Ernest Horehled, Franklin Schoen, Ed Holub and Jerry Koranda.

Burial was made in the Town of Levis Cemetery. Many folks from (part missing) Minnesota, and the Wisconsin communities of Granton, Alma Center, Merrillan, Madison, Loyal, Greenwood, Curtiss, Owen, Abbotsford, Marshfield, Black River Falls, Eau Claire and Beloit attended.
