Volk, Maude (11 January 1900 – 25 March 1979)

Mrs. Maude Volk, 79, of Wisconsin dells and formerly a resident of Loyal, died March 25 in a Baraboo hospital. She had been living in Wisconsin Dells the past ten years.

Mrs. Volk, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Etta, was born in Loyal. She was married to Perry Volk, July 16, 1924, in Milwaukee. Her husband was employed as a NSP service lineman for Neillsville, Greenwood and Loyal areas and he died May 14, 1968.

Surviving her are two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mabel) Tolleth of Wisconsin Dells and Mrs. Carl (Florence) Keiner of Eau Claire; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Oscar Etta, a sister Esther Stabnow.

Funeral services were held at the Rinka Funeral Home, loyal. The Rev. Charles Sanford, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Mrs. Byron Zepplin was the organist. Pallbearers were Roy Olson, Jesse Raab, Luther Oestreich, Celen Gotter, Gilbert Loos and Ralph Landini.
