Pribbernow, Mikayla Mae (4 April 2019 – 25 August 2021)

Mikayla Mae Pribbernow, age 2 years, 4 months of Colby, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Mikayla was born on April 7, 2019, the daughter of Skyler Pribbernow and Courtney Socha in Madison. She was a very happy and very loving little girl. Mikayla loved everything baby shark and really loved dancing to the song. She loved going to the park and going “wee” on the swings. Mikayla carried around her kitty stuffed animal and her babies everywhere she went. Her favorite things to eat were chicken nuggets and French fries! She always loved telling everyone to cry then would call them “crybabies”. Mikayla is so missed and loved by everyone.

Mikayla is survived by her parents: Skyler Pribbernow and Courtney Socha of Colby; her sister, Skylar Socha; her paternal grandmother: Deborah Kleinschmidt (fiancé, Ricky Mueller); maternal grandparents: Brian and Wendy Socha all of Colby; Great-grandmother, Clara Schwantes of Wausau; Aunts and Uncles: Ashley (Brad) Leader, Sarah (Stephan) Klopotowski, Jennifer (Lukas) Decker and Shawna Vanderhoof all of Colby; her cousins: Brian and John Leader, Gavin Klopotowski and Adalyn Decker; many great-uncles and great-aunts: and Dr. Ellen of Madison.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests anyone who attends to dress in casual comfortable clothes as that is how Mikayla would have wanted it.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Shortgut Team at UW Madison Children’s Hospital because without them we would not have had Makayla this long.
