Klimmer, Orville Anthony (7 August 1931 – 12 July 2021)

Orville A. Klimmer, 89, Spencer, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at Colby Retirement Community, Colby.

Orville Anthony Klimmer was born August 7, 1931, in Loyal, to Anton and Grace (nee Ryan) Klimmer. Orville married Sharon Lee Beels on December 1, 1956. He had various jobs including driving a dump truck, running a backhoe, hauling lime, and operating the Town of Sherman grader, which he took great pride in. Orville enjoyed working on machinery and vehicles and caring for the animals on their hobby farm. Orville loved being around people and exchanging stories.

Survivors include his children, Randy (Pat) Klimmer, Spencer, Brian (Sheila) Klimmer, Spencer, and Shari Klimmer, Spencer; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Michelle) Klimmer, Jonathon Klimmer, Jared (Lydia) Klimmer, and Porscha Rizzi; his step-grandchildren, Brad, Eric, Cody (Kasondra), and Laura Weber; his great-grandchildren, Kiara Klimmer, Parker and Rhett Klimmer, Payton Rizzi, and Trenton Zinser; brother-in-law, Kenneth Beels; and sisters-in-law, Betty Klimmer, and Janet McBride.

Preceding him in death were his wife, his parents, and one brother, Melvin Klimmer, and an infant sister, Adeline Klimmer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, at N7899 Hi Line Ave. (Fellowship Hall). Chaplain Randy Mantik will officiate. A lunch will follow the service.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
