Granton Music Contest (1979)
The Granton school bands and chorus participated in a Marawood Music contest
Saturday, April 21, at UW-Marshfield.
Competing in class “D,” the junior high band received a second rating, the high
school band competed in class “B” and received a second and the high school
chorus competed in class “B” and also received a second.
The music students of Granton will be honored at the Annual Music Awards
Banquet, Saturday, May 5, to be held in the elementary gym at 8:00 p.m. There
will be musical performances by the students and guest speaker will be the
former music department chairman of UW-Oshkosh.
A spring concert is scheduled for May 16, 8:00 p.m.
