Granton Students Honored by Elks (1979)
The Elks Lodge of Marshfield held their annual banquet, last Tuesday evening,
honoring area outstanding students. Those attending from Granton were business –
Annette Buettner; home economics – Terri Jennings; agriculture – Tom Hasz;
athletic (boys) – Jeff Lavey; athletic (girls) – Sandy Barth; arts – Lori Cook;
social science – Nick Daleiden; math and English – Bronna Parker; science –
Mavis Burkhalter; music – Sandra Scheel; and industrial arts – Francis Goergen.
Other schools participating were from Abbotsford, Auburndale, Colby, Marshfield
Columbus and Senior High, Greenwood, Loyal, Neillsville, Pittsville, Spencer and
Stratford. Parents also were in attendance.
