Granton High School (Graduation – 24 May 1979)

Granton High School graduation fro 38 students will be held on Thursday, May 24, at 8:00 p.m. in the elementary gym.

Bronna Parker will give the valedictory address and Sandra Barth the salutatorian address. Bronna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Parker, Rt. 2 Granton and Mr. and Mrs. James Barth, Rt. 1
Chili, are the parents of Sandra.

Class vice-president, Nick Daleiden, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Daleiden, Rt. 2 Granton will welcome parents and guests. The invocation and benediction will be given by Maynard Stokka, pastor of the Zion American Lutheran of Granton. Music will be provided by the high school band.

Scholarships will be awarded by Merle Bartsch of the Citizen State Bank, Mrs. Evelyn Dude for the teachers and Lionel Strand for the FFA.

After remarks and the presentation of the valedictorian and salutatorian awards by
Superintendent, Roland Krueger, the class will be presented by Lionel Strand, principal. Board members Marjorie Garbisch, James Daleiden and Robert Scheel will present the diplomas.

Class officers are Sandra Barth, president; Nick Daleiden, Thomas Hasz, Thomas Langreck, Jeffrey Lavey and Bronna Parker. Honor students are Barth, Zoe Garbisch, Kelly Hoesly, Parker and Langreck.
