Wagner, Mr. and Mfrs. Frederick (40th - 1 July 1979)

A surprise dinner for Frederick and Lucille Wagner, Rt. 2 Neillsville, was held at the Neillsville American Legion Hall, late Saturday afternoon, June 30.

The couple was honored for their 40 years of marriage. It all began on July 1, 1939, when Frederick Wagner wed Lucille Kelling in Milwaukee ceremonies. The couple had five sons and two daughters.

Attending the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Art Petzold, Menomonee Falls, who were the original wedding attendants.

Following the surprise dinner, the “Neillsville Entertainers” performed, under the direction of Sandi Wagner. This was followed by a dance, with music provided by an Athens band.

Joining in those attending was Mrs. Wagner’s sister, Ruth Andrews of New Brighton, Minnesota.
