Hoeser, Frank (27 September 1899 – 21 September 1979)

A long-time Town of Grant farmer, Frank J. Hoeser, 79, passed away in Neillsville Memorial Hospital, early Tuesday afternoon, August 21, 1979. Hoeser was born on September 27, 1899, in Loyal to George and Barbara (Gates) Hoeser.

After his education in that community, he farmed there until his marriage on April 24, 1924, to Rozina Ziglinski in Neillsville ceremonies. The couple moved to the Town of Grant where they farmed until his retirement in 1974, a total of 50 years, when they moved to Neillsville. He was a member of the Washington School Board in the Town of Grant for many years.

Surviving him besides his wife, are three sons, Donald of Marshfield, Norbert of Greenwood and Phillip of Winona, Mn.; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Geraldine) Schult of Neillsville, Mrs. Harold (Jeanette) Spencer of Marshfield and Mrs. Charles (Julie) Krostag of Hobart, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Daugherty of Pine River, Mn., and Mrs. Edgar (Kate) Hunsel, Mrs. Tess Wagner and Mrs. Bertha Breitbach, all of Circle, Mt.; two brothers, Joseph and Leon, both of Loyal; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. And he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were to be held this coming Friday, August 24, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Joseph Henseler was to officiate with the Gesche Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body was to lie in state at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday morning until 10:00 a.m. Rosary is slated for 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Hoeser, Frank J. (1899 - 21 August 1979)

Funeral services for Frank J. Hoeser, 79,who died August 21, were held Friday morning, August 24, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville with the Revs. Joseph Henseler and Germane Hoeser of Wausau officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery, with Greg, Jeff, and Tony Hoeser, James and Thomas Spiegel and Randy Spencer serving as pallbearers. Music was offered by St. Mary’s Choir, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Attending rites from out of town were Mrs. Berta Breitback, Mr./Mrs. Edgar Hunsel, Tom Breitback, John Breitback, Mrs. Tress Wangen, Daline Schlepp, all of Circle, Mt.; Mr./Mrs. Gerald Daugherty, Backus, Mn.; Sister Delarene Daugherty, St. Joseph, Mn.; Anne Daugherty, Pine River, Mn.; Howard Breitback, Baker, Mt.; and Fr. Germane Hoeser, Wausau.

Also, many friends and relatives from Eau Claire, Withee, Owen, Thorp, Marshfield, Chili, Granton, La Crosse, Loyal, Greenwood, Hatfield, and Madison, and Hobart, Ind., and Winona, Mn.
