Ule, Joseph A. (2 January 1910 – 11 August 1979) With Flag

Joseph A. Ule, 69, Plymouth, and formerly of Willard and Marshfield, died August 11 shortly after being admitted at the Plymouth Hospital due to a heart attack.

Mr. Ule, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Levko) Ule, was born January 2, 1910, in Lorraine, Ohio. He received his education in Willard schools. He was married April 6, 1947, to Mildred Heidepriem in Defiance, Ohio.

He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska in World War II and was employed as a salesman for dairy products in Defiance, Ohio; Marshfield; and Odell; and then came to Plymouth 20 years ago where he was employed by the S.R. Cheese Company until 1975. He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth and served on its board of elders. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 243 in Plymouth.

Surviving him are his wife, two daughters, Ann Ule of Milwaukee and Mrs. Brett (Jane) Coleman of Addison, Ill., one son, Joseph, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Finstad of Chevy Chase, Md., Mrs. Joseph (Olga) Hribar of Willard and Mrs. Clayton (Alice) Braun of Greenwood, and one brother, Edward, Burnsville, Mn. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services were held August 14, from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Dennis Pegorsch officiated. Graveside military rites were held by the Ladewig-Cink Graf Legion Post in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
