Prellwitz, Marcia (4 Aug 1973)

In a double ring ceremony at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Manawa, on August 4, 1973, at 4:30 p.m., Miss Marcia Prellwitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Prellwitz, became the bride of Allen Stouff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wane Stouff, Route 1, Thorp, Wisconsin. Pastor Carl F. Luedtke officiated at the ceremony. An organ prelude of favorite hymns, chosen by the bride, was performed by Mrs. Nancy Ferg, friend of the family. A solo, “The Lord My Pasture Shall Prepare,” was sung by the bride’s sister, Miss Beverly Prellwitz. The congregation participated in a hymn, “Love Divine, All Love Excelling,” and in Psalm 128. Pianist was Mrs. Fern Karth, a friend of the bride’s family, for the soloist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an empire A-line gown of white doeskin knit polyester. The bodice was overlaid with hand cut English lace and the front panel was accentuated with a wife, scalloped edge border lace that continued around the bottom edge of the gown. Hand appliqued lace roses in cluster effects formed a wide border on the gown and panels. Her long train was also edged with a lace scalloped border and cluster effects of hand cut roses. Her sleeves were of polyester chiffon with overlaid lace cuffs and tiny buttons. Her veil fell from an open Dutch-cap styled headpiece, covered with lace and seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of white grlamelias and Fuji mums. Altar flowers were white and blue glad spikes.

Miss Cheryl Row, Burnsville, roommate of the bride for three years, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids for their sister’s wedding were Miss Ellen Prellwitz, Eau Claire, and Miss Beverly Prellwitz, Manawa. Miss Linda Stouff, sister of the groom, also was a bridesmaid.

Mr. Jim Erickson, Stanley, was best man, and Mr. Jerry Sniegowski, Thorp, Mr. John Deebe and Mr. Pat Spindler, Menomonie, al friends of the groom, served as groomsmen. Ushers were Mr. Bill Heidke, cousin of the bride, and Mr. Dennis Lee, Thorp.

Marcia is a 1972 graduate of Stout State University, with a degree in Home Economics Education. She holds several specializations in clothing fields, had done demonstrations in microwave cookery in classes in Menomonie, and at various schools, and completed practice teaching in Menomonie and at Ripon in Junior Home Economics Education in May.

After a wedding trip to Yellowstone Park and various western states, the couple will reside at Route 1, Thorp.
