St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, was the scene for the four p.m. marriage ceremony of Miss Patricia Jarocki and Gerald Rickman on Saturday, August 11, 1973. Reverend John Puerner officiated at the Mass.

Parents of the couple are Mrs. Victoria Jarocki, Thorp, and Mrs. Agnes Rickman, Wisconsin Rapids.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother, chose an empire waisted peau des Soie dress. She carried pink roses with whit stephanotis and baby’s breath.

Mrs. Betsy Carey was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Susan Larson and Miss Jane Rickman, sister of the groom. They wore floral print organdy dresses styled with scoop necks and ruffles around the neck, sleeves and hem.

Nathan Timm was best man, and groomsmen and ushers were: Andy Stenklyft, Phil Knipple, Roger Whipple and Glen Rogers.

A dinner with a dance following were held at the Thorp American Legion Hall for 200 guests. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Thorpedo Restaurant on Friday evening, hosted by the groom’s mother.

The bride is a teacher-coordinator in Business Education with the Oshkosh Area Public School. The groom is an instructor with Moraine Park Technical Institute.

The couple will be at home at 1831 Doty Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
