Vollrath, Judith “Judy” A. (24 November 1948 – 8 October 2021)

Judith “Judy” A. Vollrath, age 72, of Colby, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at her son’s home under the tender care of Heartland Hospice.

Judy was born on November 24, 1948, the daughter of Uno M. and Helga A. (Johnson) Bakke in the Town of Withee. She was united in marriage to Phillip Vollrath on April 7,1967. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1999.

Judy was employed by the O-W Enterprise, tended bar at the former 11th frame in Owen and also at the former Dave’s Steakhouse in Owen. She and her husband also owned and operated the Owen Theatre until its closing.

Judy is survived by her son, Mark (Terri) Vollrath of Colby and her daughter, Beth (Lance) Cowell of Marshfield; five grandchildren: Elizabeth, Justin, Collin, Brooke and Olivia; two great-grandchildren: Elliot and Evie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, George and Jim and two sisters, Joyce and Carol.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
