Diers, Cheri (Initiated - 1980)

Twenty-three UW-Eau Claire students, including one from Neillsville, were recently initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honorary scholastic fraternity for freshmen students.

In that group was Cheri Diers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Diers, Rt. 2 Neillsville. She joined other freshmen from DeForest, Fond du Lac, Eau Claire, Westby, Stevens Point, Bloomington, Chippewa Falls, Elm Grove, Sussex, Greendale, Viroqua, Medford, Marshfield, Mindoro, La Crosse and New Auburn, as well as from the Minnesota areas of Wayzata and Burnsville.

Alpha Lambda Delta encourages and recognizes superior scholastic achievement of students in their first year of college. To be eligible for membership, a student must be registered for a course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree and have earned a minimum of 15 college credits with a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
