Krzyzanowski, Walter G. Sr. (18 Feb 1886 – 2 Jan 1974)

Walter G. Krzyzanowski Sr., 87, of Thorp, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls on Wednesday, January 2, 1974 of natural causes.

He was born February 18, 1886 in Poland.

Funeral services were conducted by Father Will Grelle at St. Hedwig’s Chapel on Saturday, January, 5, and burial was in New St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Robert Krzyzanowski, Richard Broda, David Krzyzanowski, Fred Gabryel, Jim Lemke and Tony Rogus.

He is survived by his wife and 5 children; Mrs. Stella Gabryel, Chicago, Fred Krzyzanowski, Chicago; Gertrude Stanula, Thorp; Walter Krzyzanowski Jr., Thorp; Mrs. Thomas Broda, Thorp; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
