Mr. and Mrs. Roger Staffeil, route 1, Colby, announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane, to Tony Wojt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wojt, route 1, Thorp.

Miss Staffeil graduated from Colby High School in 1970 and from Wausau Technical Institute, Wausau, in 1972, with an associate degree in applied science. She is a cashier-receptionist for Thorp Finance.

Her fiancé graduated from Thorp High School in 1964, served from 1966 to 1970 in the U.S. Air Force, and presently is employed by Thorp Pipe and Supply Co., Inc.

Wedding plans are indefinite.

Staffeil, Diane Kaye (30 Nov 1974)

A trip to Las Vegas, Nevada followed the candlelight wedding ceremony of Miss Diane Kaye Staffeil and Anton V. Wojt in Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, Saturday, November 30, 1974.

The Rev. Robin Fink performed the service for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Staffeil, route 1, Colby, and for the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wojt, Thorp. Rob Olson sang for the 6 p.m. rite, and Mrs. Rhonda Buss played the organ.

The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her parents, was seen in a gown of miramist and Cluny lace, with a chapel train. A Camelot headpiece of lace and pearls and a mantilla completed her attire. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, red sweetheart roses, with baby’s breath and blue ribbons.

Attendants for the bride were: Miss Carl Staffeil, Wausau, maid of honor, and Mrs. Thomas Schmitz, Random Lake and Miss Cheryl Staffeil, Colby, bridesmaids. They donned gowns of blue polyester knit, accented with royal blue velvet ribbons in their hair. Each carried a single long stemmed red rose with baby’s breath and blue streamers.

David Wojt, Thorp, the best man, was assisted by James Staffeil, Medford and Steve Fisher, Eau Claire, were groomsmen. Gerald Wojt and Thomas Schmitz seated the guests.

A dinner was held in the church parlor, and a reception and dance were held at the VFW Hall in Colby, following the service.

The new Mrs. Wojt graduated from Colby High School in 1970 and from Wausau Technical Institute in 1972. She is currently a secretary in the Personnel Department of Thorp Finance, Thorp. Her husband, a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School, is a sheet metal worker for Thorp Pipe and Supply Company, Inc., in Thorp.

They will make their home in Thorp.
