Reichert, Marilyn J. “Lynn” (3 Jul 1933 – 11 Nov 2021)

On Thursday, November 11, 2021 Marilyn "Lynn' J Reichert, loving sister, died at Christiana Hospital ir Newark, Delaware under hospice care.

Lynn was born on July 3, 1933 in Chili, Wisconsin to Joseph and Mildred Reichert. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1951 and went on to earn her Physical Education degree from U.W. La Crosse in 1955. In 1962 she earned a master’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and in 1968 she earned a second master’s degree in Speech and Audio Therapy from Purdue University. She taught physical education in the Milwaukee area until specializing in speech and audio education in Wilmington, Delaware.

Lynn was very athletic and enjoyed many sports. As a children's educator she had an affinity for the charities St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Smile Train.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph and mother, Mildred; as well as brothers: William, Melvin and Donald; sister, Dorie; and niece and nephew: Penny and Thomas Reichert.

She is survived by brothers: Reverend James, Reichert, Collegeville, MN and Robert Reichert, Richmond Hill, GA.; and sisters: Jeanette Baldizon, Hacienda Heights, CA., Marjorie Dallas, Medford, WI. and Sister Lois Reichert, Ladysmith, WI.; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A private family burial will be scheduled at a later date at the Thorp, WI. cemetery. Donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or The Smile Train.
