On Saturday, June 8, 1974 the class of 1964 met at the Thorp Legion Hall for their ten years reunion. The festivities planned by Terry Keating, 1964 Class President, Pat Malecki, reunion chairman, and a committee consisting of Barb and Gary Klewicki, Joani Frenette, Lynn and Rich Kodl, Jo Anne Revoy, Jim Lewan and Bernard Budzinski; started with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 everyone enjoyed a delicious banquet, followed by a program MC’d by Terry Keating. During this time, a moment of silence was observed for out three deceased members, Ron Sandel, Gary Bandor, and Cheryl Frieberg Dorn. The guest speaker was Ray Szymanski, who was principal at T.H.S. in 1964, and he recalled many incidents from our high school days. Mr. Szymanski is now at the UW-Stout in Menomonie. Class advisors attending with their wives were Rog Hedrington, Chippewa Falls, and Floyd Hanley, Thorp. After the program everyone enjoyed an evening of reminiscing and dancing to the Diamond-Aires.
