Mr. and Mrs. Lyle F. Asselin of 313 W. Main Street, Thorp, announce the engagement of their daughter, Phyllis Kaye, to Mr. James Frederick Pickett, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Gene Pickett, Greentown, Indiana.

Miss Asselin is a 1965 graduate of Thorp High School and a 1969 graduate of Wisconsin State University, La Crosse.

Mr. Pickett is a 1965 graduate of Eastern High School, Greentown, and a 1969 graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. He is presently studying Administration of the Secondary School at Northern Illinois University.

Both are teachers at Lake Park High School, Roselle, Illinois. Miss Asselin is employed as Chairman of Girls’ Physical Education and Coordinator of Girls’ Athletics. Mrs. Pickett is the Science Learning Team Leader and Assistant Varsity Football Coach.

An August 1, 1974 wedding is planned in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
