Carpentier, Robert L. (7 November 1936 – 2 December 2021)

Carpentier, Robert L. November 7, 1936, Dec. 2, 2021, age 85, Robert "Bob" passed away peacefully at his home in Chaska, MN.

He was preceded in death by his Father Ervie and Mother Louise Carpentier, his sisters Lynn and Beverly and brothers Jim and Michael.

He is survived by his children Michael (Paula) Carpentier of Chaska, MN, Natalie (Brad) Buddenhagen of Milwaukee, and his grandchildren Jeremiah, Matthew, Ashley, William and Henry. He is also survived by his brother Dale. Bob was born and raised in North Minneapolis.

He left high school just shy of graduation to join the US Navy, serving on the Midway and Fortify, touring the South Pacific and Japan. He completed his GED while in the Navy. Upon return stateside, Bob joined the USPS, married and started his family, eventually moving to Neillsville, where he worked as a Court Reporter for Clark County. While in Wisconsin, he lived his life as a lone Viking Fan, never switching sides, but making lifelong friends of those Packer Fans before he moved back to MN 13 years ago to be near his family.

Bob lived life to the fullest, he never met a martini he wouldn't drink nor a pipe, cigar or cigarette he wouldn't smoke. An avid golfer and fisherman, he made the most of his free time and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Bob will be sorely missed.

We will be having a celebration of life on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at Cy's Bar and Grill, 500 N. Pine St., Chaska, MN 55318.
