Jaskot, Mary Jane (15 Jun 1974)

St. Bernard’s Church, Thorp was the scene for the wedding of Mary Jane Jaskot and Richard L. Troyer on Saturday, June 15, 1974. Father John Puerner performed the three p.m. marriage ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Blanche Jaskot, Thorp, Leonard Jaskot, Janesville and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Troyer, Stanley.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore natural waistline trimmed with Venice Lace. A wedding band collard, Bishop sleeves with “Edwardian” cuffs, a chapel length train which accented the ruffled hemline and a shoulder length veil, secured with a Juliet headpiece trimmed with matching lace and baby seed pearl completed her ensemble. She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses and white stephanotis accented with airy clusters of baby’s breath.

Janice Jaskot was her sister’s maid of honor, and bridesmaids were friend of the bride, Jackie Rogalski and Mary Ann Naiberg. They wore yellow flocked print halter dresses with dainty lace trim and a short sleeve matching bolero with a ruffle trim edged with narrow lace. Each carried a colonial bouquet of yellow daisies and baby’s breath

Attending the groom was Ron Spaeth as best man, and groomsmen were Robert Pinter and William Butek.

A reception and supper were held at the American Legion Hall, Thorp.

The bride is a graduate of Thorp High School and is a clerk with ITT Life Insurance Corp. The groom attended Stanley-Boyd High School and the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and is self-employed as a carpet installer.

After a wedding trip to Florida, they will make their home at 140 McKnight, Stanley.
