Lawcewicz, Stanley (19 Apr 1887 – 24 Jul 1974)

Stanley Lawceiwcz, 87, died at the Clark County Hospital on Wednesday, July 24, 1974. Mr. Lawcewicz, a retired farmer, was born April 19, 1887 in Lithuania. He came to the states around 1907 and lived in the Bellinger and Lublin area before moving to Thorp.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, Lublin, on Saturday, July 27, 1974, with Father Falkowski officiating at the 9:00 a.m. service. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Stanley D. Lawcewicz, Rudy Kokaly, Ed Kozikoski, Maurice Schirmacher, Frank Knustta, and Peter Burzynski.

Surviving are one son, Stanley of route 2, Thorp; one daughter, Minnie Gaca of Chicago; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. One son, John, preceded him in death.
