Foremost-Blue Moon Cheese of Thorp, Hank Haas the boss man, and the employees are indeed walking around town upright and with commendable pride this week, because they have made the best cheese in their class in the state – and being this is Wisconsin, it can be said the best in the world.

Out of 10 entries in the Wisconsin state Fair, the local plant took nine ribbons – including the Governor’s Sweepstake Award.

The top award – Governor’s Sweepstake, -- was in the Bleu Gorgonzola class and from top to bottom (fifth place), Thorp employees took every award.
