The board of directors of ITT Thorp Corporation recently elected three local women as officers of its subsidiary corporations. The new officers will all serve as assistant secretaries.

Laurel Flora was named as an officer of Thorp Financial Corporation, a consumer finance company maintaining 84 offices in Wisconsin, and the Computer and Equipment Leasing Corporation (CELCO). CELCO owns and leases business equipment.

Appointed as an officer of Lyndon Insurance Company and Thorp Sales Corporation was Geraldine Dudansky. Lyndon Insurance Company is an insurance firm licensed to do business in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Thor Sales Corporation conducts farm auctions throughout the Midwest and industrial equipment auctions nationwide. Its subsidiary is Thorp Realty System, a real estate firm with brokers in the Midwest.

Joyce LaGasse was elected assistant secretary of Thorp Credit Inc., two consumer finance firms in Minnesota and Iowa, operating a total of 60 offices.

In addition to her duties as corporate officer, Ms. Flora is a senior executive assistant. She attended Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana before beginning her 15 years employment with Thorp.

Ms. Dudansky, an executive secretary, joined the firm in 1958. The Thorp native is secretary of the Housing Authority of the City of Thorp, and secretary of the Thorp Community Center, Inc.

Administrative secretary Joyce LaGasse, has been with the firm for 14 years. Ms. LaGasse is a graduate of the Wausau Business Institute. She is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Thorp.

The firm had assets of over $82 million when the three new corporate officers began their employment around 1959. During this 15 year time period, ITT Thorp Corporation assets have grown to $472 million.
