Bergman, Connie (28 June 1980)

The Neillsville Assembly of God was the Saturday mid-afternoon site for the exchange of wedding vows between Connie Bergman of Withee and Craig Votava of Marshfield. Parents of the bride are Robert and Dorothy Schultze of Withee, and the groom’s parents are Vivian and DeVonne Votava, Rt. 3 Neillsville. With the Rev. D.E. Sprague officiating, the father of the bride presented her to the altar.

Annette Johnson, a friend of the bride from Spencer, was maid of honor. She was joined by Jenice Votava, the groom’s sister from Neillsville, Dorene Fifer, a friend of the bride from Neillsville and Wanda Moss, another friend of the bride from Altoona.

James Davis, the groom’s brother-in-law from Marshfield, was bestman. He was joined by Neillsvillites, the groom’s cousin, Bill Aumann, and Jeff Wallace and Randy Roehl, friends of the groom. Ushering were Bruce Pribbernow, the bride’s cousin from Owen, and Bruce Votava the groom’s brother from Neillsville.

“The Wedding Song” and “The Grand March” were musical selections offered by Mrs. Pizeks and Steve Votava.

Following the ceremonies, a reception was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.

The bride is a 1980 graduate of Thorp High School. The groom graduated in 1967 from Neillsville High School and is employed by Power Pac of Marshfield. The couple will make their home in Marshfield.
