Tischendorf, Hattie M. (8 November 1904-12 February 1983)

DORCHESTER -- Mrs. Paul (Hattie M.) Tischendorf, 78, Route 2 Dorchester, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted January 17.

Services will be Tuesday at Peace United Church of Christ, Dorchester. The Rev. Samuel Robbins will officiate. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery North.

Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester.

The former Hattie M. Gribowski was born November 8, 1904, in the Town of Frankfort, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August (Martha Zepping) Gribowski. She and Paul Tischendorf were married August 13, 1924. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in August 1974. They farmed in the Town of Mayville and she lived there most of her life.

She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid and a member of County Line Homemakers Club of Dorchester.

Surviving are her husband, Paul; two daughters, Mrs. George (Fern) Hargraves of Athens and Mrs. Marvin (Joyce) Steevens of Dorchester; two sons, Donald of Dorchester and Marvin of Medford; one sister, Mrs. Sebastane (Martha) Christensen of Edgar; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Delores) Fry, nine sisters, two brothers, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
