Badzinski, Louis Sr. (28 October 1907-12 February 1983)

THORP- Louis Badzinski, Sr., 75, Thorp, died Saturday morning at Marshfield Convalescent Center. He had been a resident there since November.

Services will be Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp. The Rev. John Pernuer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Thorp Funeral Home.

He was born October 28, 1907, in Colorado, the son of Mr. and Mr. Walter (Myrtle Kubena) Badzinski. He married Rozella Duss; she died in 1969. He lived in the Boyd area until 1944, when he moved to Thorp. He was employed as a cheesemaker for Bluemoon Foods and Foremost Dairy until his retirement.

Surviving are three sons, Louis of Marshfield, Robert of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Eugene of Maplewood, Minnesota; six daughters, Mrs. Don (Kathleen) Soderberg of Stevens Point, Mrs. John (Germaine) Klouda of La Crosse, Mrs. Ron (Joanne) Ebben of Wausau, Mrs. Jerry (Rosie) Szymanski of West Salem, Mrs. Don (Louella) Zahn of Whitewater and Mrs. Keith (Marcelline) Lindstrom of Ohio; five brothers, Harry and Alex, both of Thorp, Joseph of Florida, Albert of Oklahoma and George of Bayfield; five sisters, Mrs. Val Krych of Minneapolis, Betty Kraemer of Marshfield, Polly Szczech of Greenwood and Josephine Strozk and Gertrude Stasczuk, both of Eau Claire; 34 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
