Riedel, Mark

NEILLSVILLE- Mark Riedel and Brian Kunze received Eagle Scout awards during a recent awards banquet in Neillsville.

Both are members of Neillsville Boy Scout Troop 64.

Riedel, 17, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Riedel, Neillsville, is a senior at Neillsville Senior High School. He has been involved in Scouting for four years and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. He has served as senior patrol leader, troop scribe and as a member of the Troop Leader Council.

He also served as a counselor-in-training for Scouts this past summer at Camp Phillips. His Scout awards include the 50-miler and the World Conservation Award. His Eagle service project was to repaint the fire hydrants in Ward 2 of the city.

In school, he was selected for the National Honor Society in his sophomore year, and was a representative to Badger Boys' State. He is co-sports editor for the annual, and is a member of the Media Productions Club, the German Club and the German Club Band. A member of the United Church of Christ, Riedel also is involved in basketball and golf.
