Mr. and Mrs. Allen Stange, Abbotsford, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rhonda Marie, to John Elmer Hoesly, Marshfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hoesly, 1109 South Cedar Avenue.

Miss Stange is a 1972 graduate of Colby High School, and is employed as a dental assistant at Dental Associates of Marshfield.

Her fiancé is a 1965 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School., and attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. He then entered the Army and served for 19 months in Vietnam.

Route 3, Marshfield is the address of newlyweds of Saturday, March 24, 1973, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hoesly.

The former Miss Rhonda Marie Stange, Route 3, Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Stange, Route 1, Abbotsford, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer A. Hoesly, Marshfield, said their marriage vows at 1:30 p.m.

The wedding took place in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, with the Rev. Richard L. Diedrich, assistant pastor, and the Rev. Robert Goessling, pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Marshfield and Stratford, officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother, and furnishing the music were Vicky Nixdorf, soloist, and Sister Louise Marie, organist.

A white gown of floor length nylon organza and lace, and matching lace mantilla veil held to a face framer headpiece had been selected for her special day. She carried an arrangement of white orchids and yellow roses.

Wearing long sunshine yellow dresses were Miss Kathy Leader, Marshfield, maid of honor, and Mrs. Cathy Villand, Westby, brides matron. Each carried a basket of assorted spring flowers in yellow, orchid and white.

Norman Dunbar, Marshfield, served the groom as best man. And Rodney Villand, Westby, was groomsman. Ushering duties were done by Harvey Neu, Larry Sagen, Jeffery Stange, and Phil Lepinski.

Wedding day events for the couple and their guests included a reception, dinner and dance at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Mrs. Hoesly graduated in 1072 from Colby High School, and is employed as an assistant at Dental Associates. Her husband, a 1972 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, is employed as a quality control technical for Molded Products and Particle Board of Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield.
